A Bohemian Affair

Wednesday, August 31, 2016

As we drove through the hills up windy roads and dusty paths I was greeted with breathtaking views and before I knew it, I found myself in the most spectacular farmhouse tucked away in between rolling hills and overgrown gardens.

There I was, camera around my neck in any interior design fanatics heaven snapping away and it’s all below for you to see…

The farmhouse is a 150 year old building as evidence from the discovery of an 18th century pistol embedded in the walls shows. The house was recently refurbished by a team of Moroccan builders.

I’ve rarely seen a house with more character than this. It has a large yet cozy kitchen and dining room and enchanting bedrooms on various levels with little Windows bringing in intense beams of sunlight that puncture the space. The eclectic mix of old industrial objects used as furniture, hanging plants and colourful South American style cushions captured my design dreams.

As for the land around it, the infinity pool becomes one with the rolling hills and everything is grown from watermelons to pumpkins.
